"I purchased my 2012 LX150ie by cell phone. I wanted white and Lynda had one. She installed the Bitubo front shock I wanted and arranged great shipping to my garage here in Oklahoma City.
Another dealer that I called earlier and asked them to call me if they got a white model contacted me in the meantime. They received 2 white models that morning and were far closer than Sherman Oaks. They had no interest in shipping and recommended against it. They suggested I come get it as they were just 5 hours away. I told them I didn't have access to a truck and they said nothing.
Lynda was totally different! She kept in touch with me all the way through the purchase to delivery. It's too bad that I can't visit the store for service due to distance. I sure would if I could.
The local dealer only had a few 2009 models in colors I didn't want. They quoted the same price I paid VSO and were going to add an installation charge for the shock. They had very little inventory of BMW's and Ducatis' as well and closed the shop in early December. They made no effort to communicate with those that had bikes/parts on order or were in service.
I worked there for 3 years in sales and only visited them to get an insurance estimate on my wrecked 2007 LX150.
I never considered a customer relationship with them and plan do do my own service. Oklahoma now has no Vespa dealerships anyway.
Vespa Sherman Oaks is totally different and I will suggest them to anyone. I now own a very rare white LX150 and had a great experience buying it.

"I bought myself a 2009 Piaggio MP3 400 in April for my birthday in May, and I love it! I bought a Yamaha Zuma in 2004 as a starter and decided to upgrade to something more faster and nicer. I fell in love with the MP3 and had been eyeing it for 3 years. Finally, I decided to get one and I never regreted it. Lonnie, Dave, and Lynda were so nice and helpful throughout the whole transaction, from the selling, financing, and to the delivery of my MP3. I have not brought in my MP3 for service yet, but I know that I will with no doubt, get great service from the guys at the service dept. Recently, I have been seeing a lot of these Vespa scooters out there and I'm sure that they came from Vespa of Sherman Oaks. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! "The staff at Vespa Sherman Oaks were so helpful, friendly, and are veritable rocket scientists with their all-encompassing knowledge of their motorcycles.
I purchased an Aprilia motorcycle from them, and their prices were the best in town.
Without even knowing firsthand that I was a neighbor, they treated me as one. From seeing other return customers enter & leave the store in the time I was there, I could tell that I was becoming part of a family.
I also learned that Vespa Sherman Oaks is the #1 Vespa dealer in the country! That's no small task.

"New to the whole Vespa experience, my husband and I came in looking at the Piaggio MP3s. Lonnie was super helpful...answering all of our questions, showing us how it worked, working through the financing with us, everything. We expected it to be like buying a car...a dreaded experience. "I live in San Diego, and could not find a good Vespa inventory here, nor a reasonable price on a new Vespa 300ie, so I looked on the internet, and found David and his great staff at Vespa of Sherman Oaks. They had the inventory and were able to create a very good deal. They took my smaller scooter in trade, and were so easy to work with. Every question was." yes we can do that", "yes we are happy to help you". In this day and age it is rare to find a business that prides itself in customer satisfaction. "Rather than rant about a dealership that gave us a lot of grief, we would like to tell of a dealership that is a 100 carat diamond. Yes, thats right!! A genuine top of the line dealership that is truly amazing, which, in itself is an alien concept. The wonderful people that comprise Vespa of Sherman Oaks is, as follows: David Meyer, President - Lynda Meyer, General Mgr. - Mike Basowski, Client Services Mgr. - Lonnie Trujillo, Store Mgr. - and, Drew Teague - Service Mgr. On our first visit, we were met with smiles and a warm welcome. We explained that we were from Port Hueneme (100 Miles round trip), and had difficulty getting accessories for my wife's pink Vespa 150 in our area.
After looking around this incredibly well stocked establishment, we found what was wanted, and then some. In the process of getting things, we were given pros and cons in response to our questions with explanations that, in my mind, were totally valid with great knowledge of all the products that the group had. This dealership engenders an incredible family relationship feeling like you have known everyone for a long time. On our second visit to "VESPASO", I decided to get a bright red Vespa 150. On more visits, we acquired "REAL" Vespa chrome parts, Corazzo apparel, and, I bought Linda a protective jacket that looks like something from Rodeo Drive. I even got a real Vespa retro helmet. It becomes obvious that the people have an incredible passion for Vespa and all the other products that they carry. Rest assured that they don't deal with second rate "stuff". Linda and I will be connected to "VESPASO" as "VESPASO" is connected to their clients. What a family relationship!!!! Those that enter their doors, will never switch.

"06/30/2010 I was in the market for a slightly used scooter so that I could make my intra-city commute more enjoyable when I called David to see if he had anything in the shop (the call was made on a Friday evening when David was on his way home from VSO). We talked for a bit and he said that he had a trade-in that he would look into when the shop opened the next day. On Saturday, I got a call as well as pictures of the 2001 Black Scarabeo 150 which I would soon purchase. What a beautiful machine and what awesome customer service from the team at VSO. I'll definitely go there again for my next purchase."

"We just purchased 2 Piaggio Mp3's from Vespa of Sherman Oaks 6/20/2010. Not only was the purchase experience completely awesome but we had an issue with one of the bikes that was not caught pre-delivery, nor did we catch it until the 2nd day of ownership. David and Lonnie picked up the bike at our house (on a flat bed so it would not get hurt if there was a real issue), took it to their shop, found the problem, repaired the problem (just a loose fitting) and had the bike back in 2 hours. Ever hear of that happening at any other motorcycle dealership, car dealership or boat dealership? NEVER. With everyone else it's "you bought it, it is your problem," but not here.
How things work when everything is fine is one thing. The true test of any business person is how they behave when things aren't right. These folks evidenced the best traditions of customer service - get it right immediately and make sure the customer is happy.
We can't say enough positive things about the team at Vespa of Sherman Oaks.

The store is super clean and full of great inventory. You can tell that they love what they do and take pride in their work.
Each of them spent as much time with me as I needed, explaining the pros and cons of the various models. Once they learned my preferences they did everything possible, in terms of low pricing and a very fair trade-in, to get me into the scooter of my dreams (Piaggio MP3). This was a low-pressure sale, but with a high level of care.
I consider myself lucky to be a part of the Vespa Sherman Oaks family and look forward to my first service visit!"

"I've always wanted a scooter, but I grew up back east where they just weren't cool and winter comes early and leaves late preventing many rides.
I finally broke down last week and said that I'm going to get a scooter. I checked some other websites and was disappointed with their lack of an updated web presence. Vespa of Sherman Oaks, on the other hand, had a used '09 Fly 150 with a price that was just too good to be true. I sent a request for more info and David emailed me back minutes later. He said that a scooter like that with a price tag where it was just wasn't going to last. I had little choice but to rush in first thing Tuesday and take a look. David went over the basics with me and Lonnie helped me get a great deal on a helmet, jacket, and gloves. Quick and painless. Awesome experience, great deal!"

"I've been riding motorcycles for 10 years, but my first two wheel vehicle was a 50cc Yamaha Raz. Great scooter, but I was too slow for the car lane and too fast for the bike lane. Everyone hated me! The thing is, I never found a motorcycle that was as much fun and as low stress to ride as the scooter. I bought my first Piaggio back in 2007. It was a Vespa GTV250. Absolutely loved it! I just needed a little more power to keep up with my husband on road trips. I traded the Vespa in for the BV500 because I loved the retro styling and compact size. It also has a larger gas tank, so I can ride a lot farther without having to stop. I haven't looked back since. It has more power than some of the 650cc motorcycles that I owned. I took my first long road trip back in June. 1300 miles round trip. I road with my husband and a friend who were both on larger cc motorcycles. They had a difficult time keeping up with me on the mountain roads! After putting over 4,500 miles on the scooter, the only tick I've come across is a trip meter that sticks at 100 miles. It's not annoying enough for me to drive 150 miles to get it fixed, so I just live with it. As far as the customer service part of my purchase, I was able to work out over the phone what I was willing to pay and what they could do for me as far as meeting my price. I went to pick it up the following week and was really impressed with the service. I purchased a jacket and a top case on the spot. I had to order the top case, but the dealership sent it to me for free. The only hitch was that the accessories to attach the top case were thrown in the box loose and were used. Wasn't thrilled about that since I paid the new price. Other than that, it was a positive experience."

"I am looking forward to the Vespa Anniversary party this Sunday. I look forward to it every year. I love Lynda and David. They are very special to me and my family & always will be. Some of you have heard my story and some of you will be hearing it for the first time. It’s a story you may never forget. My youngest daughter Krista was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 15. She was an amazing daughter and had a style of her own. She loved the Beatles, school, sports, friends and family and always wanted a Vespa. When Lynda and David heard about Krista and her love for Vespa’s, they surprised her while she was at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. They loaded up their van with a beautiful, red LX150 including all the extras, top case, windshield and mat. Besides that they brought her a Corrazo jacket, helmet and gloves to match. They did something very kind and amazing for her and I still remember that day so clearly. She wasn’t feeling too good that day but thanks to Lynda and David they made her smile and we all shed tears of joy. Sadly she passed away shortly after that at the age or 18 and never got to ride it. Because of Krista’s great love for Vespas, I am a Vespa lover too. She taught me so much. But wait the story does not end here.

We arrive and as always are greeted warmly with hugs and good wishes. At the time I did not know they are going to be raffling a new Vespa. It was one ticket per family and not knowing whose name to put on the ticket I wrote Krista Romero. We had a great time, great food and great company. Later, David asked me to come up and pull the winning ticket out of the box. I was happy and honored. I was wondering who would be the lucky winner of a new Blue Vespa 150. Everyone waited to see who’s name was on the ticket. With closed eyes I pull the ticket out and hand it to Lynda. David reads the name, and with the biggest smile calls out KRISTA ROMERO! You can only imagine all the cheers and joy to all who were there to witness what had just happened. I know Krista had her hand in this one. Now her dad rides a Blue Vespa, which happens to be his favorite color and I ride her red one.
We have remained in close contact with the Myer’s and will always be grateful for their generosity, big hearts and making my daughter smile.

" With gas prices fluctuating like crazy in the past few years, I have mulled over what proactive approach I could take to save money as well as to reduce mileage on my over-burdened SUV.
One day, I perused through several online websites looking for a bicycle and fell upon images of scooters. Knowing that I was not qualified to ride a motorcycle, my thoughts began to throw images of riding a scooter each day to work in lieu of my SUV. Suddenly, I remembered driving by a Vespa shop on my weekly travel and so, made a point to stop there before going home one day. Lynda met me in the lot as I looked around. She was amazingly helpful and oh so informative. Just what I was looking for. I had no intention of buying anything that day. Naturally, I had no insurance or motorcycle license.
I was so impressed that the next day, I had to bring Randy (my other half) to the lot and that is when we happened upon a used Mojito that was in impeccable condition. We could not walk away from such an amazing deal. Lynda smiled (almost knowingly) and wrote up the sales receipt. Never did I feel pressured as with car salesman. She provided me the facts and information and respected my decision.

"What can I tell a potential customer of this shop, to convince them that, if they’re wanting to buy a Vespa, there is no better place to go than here? How about this...
I came from San Diego, a good three hour drive through LA traffic, just to buy from them, and then drove the same three hours back with my new Vespa. I’m not crazy, I swear.
David and Lynda were friendly, helpful, honest and direct about answering any questions I had...even before I had put one penny in their coffer. More often than not, my questions were answered within minutes of me sending an email, and sometimes before their shop doors had even opened. They gave me a fair price, had everything ready when I arrived, and loaded my new Vespa up within minutes. It could not have been any easier or more pleasant.
This was in sharp contrast to my local dealers, that never took the time to return my requests to them about my interest in making a purchase.
So if your looking for a shop that feels more like friends and family than a dealership; or who actually love the product they sell, then you owe it to yourself to at least check out the shop. It’s rare to find a family run dealership that actually deserves your business, but this is one of them.

"I just picked up my 250 GTS on Monday, July 13, from the Sherman Oaks shop after having its 10,000 mile service and a few other minor adjustments/fixes completed. The service experience was outstanding. All of the personnel I dealt with were capable, experienced and helpful. The service was done promptly and completely. Everything on my list was taken care of just as I had requested. And best of all, the bike runs beautifully. With the engine off it rolls so smoothly you would not believe there were any moving parts involved. This was my third service visit with this firm, and I could not be happier."

"This outfit is a genuine breath of fresh air. David, the owner is a straight shooter, and a nice guy who makes you feel like one of the family. He did his best to give me the best deal he could. Going by my experience, I'd say he does everything he can to help everyone around him, and he treats people with respect. "I own 2 vespa scooters and I drive 2 hours each way to have David and Lynda service them. Yesterday I took my wifes LX150 in for tyres and sevice. While I was there I asked if they had a bug screen in stock for my scoot. Linda went into the parts room and brought one out. Parts on hand )no waiting that was a real joy. Dave, Linda and the technicians are real pros. I will continue to tell people about them where you are treated like a family. Oh ya I also had two of my children in tow and they had a great time too. "Hi. What a blessing this entire process has been for my youngest son and myself, and my wife Gayle. ( I'm going to be 62 this summer, and Robert is 25 ) We just this past week, ( Jan 12th 2009 ) purchased two Vespas from David and Lynda. A GTV, Siena Ivory in color, and an LXV, in Portofino Green.
Several things have happened here, one, a new friendship has come about, and I'm having more fun riding my scooter then I can begin to tell you about. I was starting to look for Vespa Dealers, saw the web site, and sent an email with a few questions. David got right back to me, we set up a time to talk on the phone, and did so. From there, things just flowed seamlessly.
I picked out the two scooters we wanted, and they were in stock, and then were held for us, and this last Monday, the 12th, we drove down from Visalia, and competed the transaction. It's not hard to understand why David and Lynda are rated as high as they are......No pressure, just the opposite happened. Helpful, interested, enthusiastic, and, David and Lynda came down to the store on their day off to help us get things taken care of.
Service with a smile, and a friendly and genuine heart to boot. Wow is all I can say. We are planning on bringing our Scooters down there for service, and look forward to directing anyone David and Lynda's way.

"I bought a Vespa GTS 250ie in July 2007. It rocks my world! I'm saving on gas and having fun at the same time. I always have a place to park, even at Cal State Channel Islands!! Since I bought my Vespa, two of my girlfriends bought Vespas too. The first time I went in there and saw David, I realized I recognized him from the TO Flyers track program a few years ago. I asked him what he was doing here and he said he just opened the place a few months ago. Since then, their success has been phenomenal! That doesn't happen by accident. You have to work hard and be honest and service oriented...and they are!! Toot Toot!!!"

"Dave and Lynda make everyone feel like family. Bought n LX150 July 08. Great scooter - was satisfied until I saw a Piaggio Aprillia Scarabeo at their store. Dave let me drive it - that was it!..He took my Vespa in trade with a favorable deal. I like the larger wheels (16"), extra power (250cc) and the kinda motorcycle look. Fast enough for freeway driving and very comfortable. Still it get 65 + mpg. Judy loves it too. We toured up to Santa Barbara and back just for lunch this past Sunday. Great ride."

"Everyday is so much more fun now that I own a new, graphite black, Vespa Granturismo GT200! I ride it to work, the gym, the post office, the beach and just about everywhere else I want to go...at about 65 mpg. I highly recommend that you get one of your own!
...and if you are thinking of buying one, look no further than Dave and Lynda for the best selection, sales support and friendly service. I live over 70 miles away and still bought my Vespa from Dave and Lynda...even though there's another Vespa dealer in my own town within 5 miles!
At my local Vespa dealership I had to get on a 3-5 month waiting list for my favorite Vespa...and pay a premium, but David had it in stock ready for immediate delivery at the listed price! Plus, Lynda got me approved for the special financing in under 5 minutes over the phone and she helped me decide on special features and the correct model for me. It was so easy, and I got free delivery.
I can't say enough good things about my experience with them.

"My purchase of a new 2009 Vespa Dragon Red GTS was a very enjoyable experience. The first time I visited the store, David spent as much time as I wanted, answering questions, showing me features, and giving me things that I needed to think about. He even stayed late after closing time, after his staff had left for the day. He was in no hurry and did not make me feel rushed.
The second visit was the same experience. He is brutally honest to the point of not selling you something if he felt it wasn't the best choice for you. He will forgo a few dollars profit for himself in order to give his customers what they need, not necessarily what they want, which are rarely the same things. David has a very rare quality that is displayed in the transportation sales business these days...integrity!
He did not oversell nor engage in any high pressure sales tactics. Personally, I will walk away from high pressure tactics and never return to that place. David believes in his products and allows them to sell themselves. He made me feel like part of the family. He also takes care of his staff. If I were in the scooter business, I would want him for my supervisor.
The actual purchase experience on the third visit was also enjoyable and he and Linda gave me exactly what I wanted, as concerning add-ons and accessories. They care about their customers and after the sale, will take and make the time to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase.
One outstanding benefit of purchasing from David and Lynda is that they currently offer free delivery to most places in Southern California. This is a huge expense for them, in both labor costs and gasoline for their delivery vehicle. While I understand that this benefit program may be discontinued at any time, it is my opinion that while they offer free delivery, they do not advertise it. They should.
If I am ever in the personal situation where I purchase another Vespa or Piaggio, David and Lynda will be the first place that I call and visit."

I tried two other shops before I landed at their shop. You get personal service, questions answered, and a really good sales experience. "I decided to try their shop for Piaggio service and was surprised by how well I was treated. Having my scooter serviced at a different Vespa dealership was a waste of my time and a big frustration, due to poor customer service. their shop is a busy, thriving scooter shop, and the best thing is that they have the staff to actually take care of their customers after the purchase, which is not the case other places. They had the parts I needed in stock and got me in for service quickly, and I didn't spend all day waiting for my bike. Everyone at the shop is friendly and helpful. I look forward to doing business with these guys in the future. If you live in Ventura County or Santa Barbara County, go here. Trust me."

"I have to say you always wonder if the testimony from these web sites are true or not. So let me say I never met Dave or Linda personally. But from the one phone call and the no nonsense deal, I am very happy. They are truly invested in their buisness. I will definetly purchase again from them or refer anyone to them for any thing they sell. I am going to make it a point to meet them in person when I get out that way. "I have never enjoyed myself purchasing anything as much as I did purchasing my scooter at Vespa. This was the purchase of my 16th motorcycle in 40 years (motor scooter in this case). I could have purchased it much closer to home but the excitement that David puts into everything he does convinced me to drive back out there to make my purchase. He had my BV250 delivered to my door within an hour and 1/2 of purchase. This is unheard of. I may just have to go back and get another for my wife."

"I would drive 250 miles to buy from David! I called all the dealers and no one communicated and followed-up with my like David. In addition, he went the extra mile (in fact, 350 miles...he drove to San Luis Obispo the day before my birthday to get the Vespa LXV I wanted.) He had it ready for delivery on my birthday, complete with a bow and Birthday cake. I was so impressed, I told my business partner and we drove up there together less than a week later so my business partner could buy his Vespa. David met us 1 hour before opening to accommodate our travel schedule. Don't waste your time with other dealers. Make the drive and you'll be glad you did. I'm a customer for life! "

"I had been shopping for a scooter for close to a year! I had been to countless websites and stopped in a few motorcycle shops that happened to have a few scooters. I just couldn't get the information that I needed to help me make that purchase. Then, after an appointment across the street from Vespa, I decided to walk into and see what they had to offer. They had just opened for the day and were getting everything in order. I looked around for a bit and then Lynda came to answer any questions, and boy did I have a lot of them!! She answered them all and then some! She was not pushy at all in trying to make a sale. I liked the Vespa's that she showed me, but for some reason, the Mojito 150 really caught my eye! I didn't immediatley make my decision, I wanted to think about it over the weekend. I was going to call on Monday when I discovered they were closed on Mondays. So I emailed them to see if the Mojito was still left, figuring they would pick up their email on Tuesday and get back to me. David answered my email in a few minutes and let me know that there was one Mojito left!! It was mine! We dealt with everything via email and David had that beautiful little scooter at my office on Thursday afternoon!! I didn't even have to go back into the shop! Lynda and David were great in getting everything taken care of, it was such an easy transaction! Hopefully I can get my wife on a scooter too! I will not hesitate to drive to see David and Lynda for any of my scootering needs!! "
